Some random facts about me
The Story of Creating the series
I wanted to create a space, where I could share all the exciting things that have been happening to me! In 2014 I moved to Bristol and embarked on a great adventure of becoming a professional musician. Music has always played such an important part of my life, so now, when it is slowly turning into my career, I feel like the happiest person in the world.
The idea of having a blog came to me when Rock-Vector, an online magazine based in Russia, offered me the freelance writer position. There I had my own weekly column, where I told stories about my exciting journey from a nice-looking girl with a guitar, singing songs in weird English, to an artist with a progressing career who had been performing at the most popular festivals in England.

Unfortunately in September 2016 the magazine was closed, but I had so many nice reviews about my articles that I decided to continue my work purely for the blog. This is how The Secret Plan Of Ria Timkin evolved in the series in its own right. However, If you are still curious to see the original texts, head to Rock Vector’s official website.

I had to start playing the guitar because the venues I performed at never had house pianos. Everything I know about playing the guitar, I learned from YouTube.

I’m trying really hard to finish my Master’s in Commercial Law – pushing my career and studying at the same time is not easy...

I was a competitive figure skater until 16. Then I joined ballet on ice cast and performed in a few famous Russian ice shows.

There was a time when I could easily communicate in French and German. Unfortunately, those glorious days are long gone…

I have a dog with a posh name Silver Shadow Ufeny William (aka Ufy). He was named after a little stuffed toy that Santa brought me when I was 8. When I saw that the present wasn't a real dog, I wept for days. Later on Ufy The Fake Dog became my traveling lucky charm.

I had no idea how to build this website, so it was a massive pain and I had to learn everything from scratch.
